What Our Students Say They Love About Our Native Spanish Tutors

Key Benefits

SpanishBlackbelt is perfect for people who really want to learn Spanish but haven't had much success before. It's also great for those who need Spanish for traveling or work, for new students who want to learn but don't know where to start, for people who want practice that fits their needs, for those who forgot a lot since they last learned Spanish somewhere else, and for people who can read and write Spanish but need help speaking it better.

These testimonials attest to this...

''Making the class worth while the time while having fun.'' Dec 06 2007

''I felt stagnet(stuck at the same level), with spanish, like i was not advancing in learning, but when i started learning spanish with my tutor I didn't feel that way anymore. Now i feel that i am increasing in my learning with speaking and pronucication of learning. '' Dec 05 2007

''Punctural, always there and available for questions'' Dec 04 2007

''Spoke Spanish 95% of the time.'' Dec 02 2007

''Mariella is the ultimate instructor. She makes learning, studying and doing the homework an enjoyable process. She is demanding in a positive way. She listens to pronounciations, corrects speech and grammar patterns but in a way that is postive and encouraging. I explained to her about my hearing problem that is in part caused by being new to language learning. I am an older nontradiontal student. From the moment I set foot in her classroom it was all Spanish all the time. I need that and even though I told her my tiny brain hurt at the end of the class, she provided great brain exercises for language acquisition. She loves what she is doing, is interested in her students, what they do, how they use the Spanish, etc. We discussed political issues, poverty, wages, history, art, music. Wow, she is amazing. I can't wait until the end of January to start again.'' Nov 30 2007

''Joaquin is outstanding. He makes you feel comfortable speaking in Spanish and explains things effectivly. '' Nov 30 2007

''Mely was very patient and provided excellent explanations, our classes were fun.'' Nov 30 2007

''She (Mariella)prepared well, had humor, understood my reasons for taking her class. She clearly explained the concepts and the grammar.'' Nov 30 2007

''Make learning Spanish easy and fun and not a chore. '' Nov 23 2007

''Mely remarkably recalled the group's weekly progress, somehow remembering what words and theories were discussed in previous sessions. She never introduced new material without preparing us. She knows JUST how far to push me, always gaining new ground but never overwhelming us. She is extremely flexibile on making up missed sessions which has been GREATLY appreciated. She is superub at deviating from her leason plan to address matters that we want to discuss. I look forward to signing up for the next class with Mely. She is an excellent instructor and is truly patient.'' Nov 21 2007

''She realized that I was much farther along than the average student and adjusted the teaching strategy accordingly. She realizes that I chiefly need to develop my speaking ability.'' Nov 20 2007

''Mely really helped me with a better understanding of the past tense and also with new vocabulary.'' Nov 16 2007

''I liked that she brought in different practices for us to learn more Spanish with...used games, fun reading, etc. My reason for rating the first two questions here as 'Neutral' is soley due to me. I wasn't able to put in as much time for studying outside of class this time around & am dissappointed in myself for that - ugh. '' Nov 16 2007

''He was very good with logistics and very nice. He was not intimidating and an overall nice person. He tried to take what we gave him and expand on it (using a People en Espanol magazine to get articles, etc.). '' Nov 15 2007

''She spoke slowly enough for me to understand her.'' Nov 15 2007

''The tutor knew my Spanish level and refused to let me fall back on English when he knew I could communicate in Spanish.'' Nov 14 2007

''I have had only High-School study and one week with a tutor in Antigua, Guatemala. HS spent way too much time with grammar and theory, not enough Spanish. Ant., the tutor knew little English and was not able to understand my concerns. My SBB tutor was eager to get to Spanish and also able to answer specific questions I could only formulate in English.'' Nov 13 2007

''Cater to my particular needs and goals and taught at my level of understanding'' Nov 11 2007
