Leadership at SpanishBlackbelt
SpanishBlackbelt is guided by experienced leadership focused on effective language instruction, thoughtful program design, and long-term student success. Our approach reflects years of hands-on teaching experience and a deep understanding of how adults, teens, and children learn Spanish in real-world contexts.
Academic decisions at SpanishBlackbelt are driven by instructional quality rather than trends. From curriculum structure to tutor selection, every aspect of our programs is designed to support clear progress, consistency, and meaningful communication.

Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Nicolás C. is the founder and academic leader of SpanishBlackbelt. He is based in Washington, DC, and oversees the design and direction of the school’s language programs.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Universidad del Pacífico in Peru, a leading Jesuit institution specializing in economics and business studies.
A native Spanish speaker from Peru, Nicolás developed an early passion for tutoring during his secondary education, where he regularly supported fellow students across multiple subjects while maintaining an outstanding academic record. That early experience shaped his long-term commitment to personalized instruction, structured learning, and high academic standards—principles that continue to guide SpanishBlackbelt’s programs today.
