From the first lesson she has shown patience and humor in handling my mangling of the Spanish language. When I've made mistakes that couldn't be remedied in Spanish she would regettably switch to English but once the point is made she switched back to Spanish. I only see Mely for two hours a week, but the lesson continues until the next time I see her. I read Spanish language newspapers and read Spanish language books, which we discuss in class. I listen to Spanish music everyday either from CDs which we share or on the radio. I even try to think in Spanish. That's the effect that Mely has had on me in regard to learning Spanish. Every class is fun and I look forward to sitting and speaking Spanish with Mely. I think that ultimately that is what a teacher is suppose to accomplish - Pride in learning and pride in the expression of what is learned.''
