Position: Job as part-time native Spanish tutor for students living in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, TX


Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, TX ( Addison - Campbell Green - Frisco - Highland Park - Lakeview Heights - Moss Farm - Forest Meadow - Oak Lawn - Plano - Preston Highlands - Prestonwood - Richardson - Southlake - University Park - Uptown) and online.

We are looking for native Spanish tutors and/or Spanish teachers for students living in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, TX with the following characteristics:

  • Native Spanish speakers ...

    • with experience tutoring and/or working as a Spanish teacher in a school, university or as a freelance, and

    • with a bachelor's degree, ideally in education or the Spanish language.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Desire to work in our Spanish language school for at least 2 years
  • With a minimum availability of 20 hours a week (ideally at nights - 5pm to 9pm - and on weekends - 9:30am to 1:30pm) but always remaining flexible to adapt to variations in demand over time
  • Excellent understanding of the similarities and differences in logic and structure between English and Spanish.
  • Be open minded, energetic, enthusiastic, extroverted and obsessed in exceeding our Spanish student expectations, putting the interest of your students above your own.
  • Open to sign a confidentiality and intelectual property agreement if receiving an offer.
  • Able to provide contact information of 3 job references from direct supervisors, current or former (they do not need to be of jobs as a teacher; they can be of jobs performed outside of the US)

  • Native Spanish tutors conduct Spanish tutoring and classes on a part-time basis to organizations, adults, teens and/or children over 13 years of age if the classes are in person, when possible, or over 8 years of age if the classes are conducted live online.

...for students living in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, TX (Addison - Campbell Green - Frisco - Highland Park - Lakeview Heights - Moss Farm - Forest Meadow - Oak Lawn - Plano - Preston Highlands - Prestonwood - Richardson - Southlake - University Park - Uptown):

  • online live, though Zoom, Skype or any other online platform of choice

  • online through pre-recorded classes to be published on our YouTube channel, and/or

  • in person when possible at:
    • coffee shops, bookstores, libraries or any other convenient public space (preferred option for the majority of our students), and/or

    • your home (if convenient for both you and your students,commonly in a living room, dining room, home office, or common areas of a building), and/or

    • the home or office of our students (your time and cost associated to this option may be compensated), and/or

...getting together, in the case of classes conducted in person or live online, regularly at the same times and days each week, week after week, as long as you are able to match or exceed your students expectations.

  • Competitive salary between $20 a $24 an hour to get started
  • Insurance for:

    • disability,

    • workers compensation (accidents during work),

    • unemployment

    • pause due to sickness (Sick Pay)

  • the opportunity to choose to work between 20 to 40 hours per week, as long as demand allows
  • Expense reimbursement

  • The option to indicate us your preferences regarding times, days and neighborhoods where you would like to conduct your classes so that we can take them into consideration when possible.

  • Opportunity to help us decide the direction of our Spanish language school working in administrative tasks, which would supplement your class time income.
