''Spoke Spanish 95% of the time.'' Dec 02 2007
''Mariella is the ultimate instructor. She makes learning, studying and doing the homework an enjoyable process. She is demanding in a positive way. She listens to pronounciations, corrects speech and grammar patterns but in a way that is postive and encouraging. I explained to her about my hearing problem that is in part caused by being new to language learning. I am an older nontradiontal student. From the moment I [*] foot in her classroom it was all Spanish all the time. I need that and even though I told her my tiny brain hurt at the end of the class, she provided great brain exercises for language acquisition. She loves what she is doing, is interested in her students, what they do, how they use the Spanish, etc. We discussed political issues, poverty, wages, history, art, music. Wow, she is amazing. I can't wait until the end of January to start again.'' Nov 30 2007
''She (Mariella)prepared well, had humor, understood my reasons for taking her class. She clearly explained the concepts and the grammar.'' Nov 30 2007

''Tutor was attentive to my needs and answered my questions well.'' Oct 31 2007
''never had spanish so can`t compare teacher. she stayed in spanish format. I probably should of studied more to get more from course. Probably would of benefited if stayed w/ other member of group, but might of held them back. I think following the book more closely would of been better, although again my study habits were not great. She was very encouraging and after our sessions I felt that I knew more than I realized. Overall I think she is a good teacher and would be happy to take another class w/her'' Oct 31 2007
