Why are our Spanish tutors for students living in Miami unique?
All of our Spanish tutors are the cream of the crop. They are highly educated, carefully screened and extensively trained in the science and art of tutoring Spanish with our method. They are also energetic, enthusiastic and strongly passionate about teaching and sharing their culture.
Almost all of our tutors are native Spanish speakers.
In special situations, though, we may invite a non-native Spanish speaker to join our team of tutors provided that they prove to have a level of fluency similar to that of a native Spanish speaker. A non-native Spanish speaker can develop this level of fluency by studying the language extensively and living an extensive period of time in a Spanish speaking country.
If for any reason you consider that your Spanish tutor and you are not a good fit, you will be able to request a change of Spanish tutor without any extra cost, subject to availability, at your current times/days, or at any other time and day of your convenience if your current times are not available. We do recommend, however, if you think that your Spanish tutor is not paying attention to your needs, to point that to her directly as soon as possible so that she can adopt any necessary changes in her teaching approach as we are all very flexible and adaptive.
Direct contact with tutors prior to enrolling for a class is not possible. Please accept our apologies for this limitation. Prior to paying for a package of classes up front, you can, however, purchase a non-refundable reduced-priced 55-minute sample session for $49. This sample session will allow you to meet your Spanish instructor and get familiar with his/her teaching style. You can let us know of this preference on your application.
Note that all of our tutors are the cream of the crop. You can read their bios and reviews here.
Also, for your peace of mind, if you do not like your teacher, which we doubt will happen, you can request a full refund after the first session only but prior to the second, or if taking private classes, a proportional partial refund to the number of sessions not considered used thereafter. There will be no refunds either partial or full after attending your second group class.
You can include a note on your application indicating that you are particularly interested in having your Spanish sessions with a specific Spanish tutor or with a tutor with a specific nationality. We will do all what is in our hands to consider your preferences in our response.
Keep in mind, though, that all of our tutors share similar characteristics, such as enthusiasm, knowledge and experience.
Observe as well that most tutors have an unbelievably high rating of 4.5 stars or more. This is a real-time rating that is not filtered or manipulated. There are very little chances of finding tutors with low-quality reviews in our school simply because:
(1) we only hire the best tutors available,
(2) we train tutors to be effective in the implementation of our methodology, and
(3) we monitor and take corrective measures when needed.
Be aware as well that tutors with a higher number of reviews are not necessarily better than those with less. It may just mean that they have been working longer with us or that they simply work a higher number of hours per week.
If you still want to choose your tutor and there are not tutors available for in-person classes in your area, we can also suggest trying distance learning. Our classes online can expand your options to choose the tutor you most like. Keep an open mind. Your first class online will be considered a trial class. If it ends up not working for you, you will still be entitled to request a full refund if requested prior to your second class.

All of our Spanish tutors have been carefully selected and rigorously trained in our methods and the art and science of tutoring Spanish. They are certified by our Spanish school but not by a third-party accredited organization or government agency. If in need of a Spanish teacher certified by a third-party accredited organization or government agency we would encourage you to register for a Spanish class at a university or college. Most language institutes do not require their tutors to be independently certified. In our experience, independently certified teachers are normally rated much lower than tutors who do not carry certifications. We hire Spanish tutors based on their ability to make sure students learn as opposed to on their ability to force students to follow a specific method regardless of their effectiveness.
Tutors are properly compensated and receive benefits. They are all legal and authorized to work. We would not attract or retain top tutors if we were not paying them fairly.
